Trip Information

The Everest Base Camp Trek, a very well-known and popular trek in Everest region, this trek starts from the upper Phakding and follows the Dudh Kosi River which climbs up to the capital of Sherpa people Namche, a bustling bazaar that is a junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expeditions and route to the Mt. Everest.

All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the trek make it the kind of walk you will remember for a long, long time.

Mount Everest Base Camp has been a popular destination for trekkers since the very first expeditions to the Nepalese side of Everest in the 1953.

 

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu:
Day 02: City tour
Our city guide will take you to historical places around Kathmandu valley which is also listed on world heritage sites by UNESCO.
Day 03: Briefing and Preparations for trekking.
Day 04: Fly to Lukla and commence trek to Phakding (2,620m/8,594ft)
Day 05: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,420m/11,218ft)
Day 06: Acclimatization/exploration/rest day at Namche Bazaar
Day 07: Trek to Thame, (3,800m/12,464ft)
Day 08: Trek to Khumjung, a typical Sherpa village (3,790m/12,431ft)
Day 09: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m/12,661ft)
Day 10: Trek to Dingboche (4,360m/14,301ft)
Day 11: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m/16,203ft)
Day 12: Trek to Gorak Shep, the gateway to Everest summit
Day 13: Trek to Kala Pattar (5,550m/18,204ft)
Day 14: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365m/17,597ft)
Day 16: Trek to Pheriche
Day 17: Trek to Namche:
Day 18: Trek to Lukla
Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu:
Day 20: Rest day in Kathmandu
Day 21: Final Depart
