Trip Information

This is one of the newly opened peak for climbing purpose which is located in Gokyo valley of Everest region. Kyajo Ri peak is also known as trekking peak which means you can climb this peak while you are on the trek to Gokyo Ri or Renjo La pass.

But comparing with other similar trekking peaks, Kyajo Ri is comparatively more technical. To ascend Kyajo Ri, it would be good to have climbing experience on rock and ice because it is relatively more technical peak and of course physical condition of climber need to be in good order.

Itinerary

Day 01: Your arrival in Kathmandu
Day 02: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,652m) about 3 – 4 hours walk
Day 03: From Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) about 5 – 6 hours walk
Day 04: Rest day for acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar
Day 05: From Namche Bazzar to Phortse Thanga (3,500m) about 5 – 6 hours walk
Day 06: From Phortse Thanga to Machhermo (4,410m.) about 5 – 6 hours walk
Day 07: From Machhermo to Gokyo (4,750m.) about 5 – 6 hours walk
Day 08: From Gokyo to Gokyo Ri (5,483m.) – Gokyo (4,750m.) about 5 hours walk
Day 09: From Gokyo to Renjo La (5,340m.) – Lungden ( 4,060m. ) about 7 – 8 hours walk
Day 10: From Lungden to Thame ( 3,820m. ) about 4 – 5 hours walk
Day 11: From Thame to Mende ( 3,740m. ) about 3 – 4 hours walk
Day 12: From Mende to Base Camp ( 4,550m. ) about 4 – 5 hours walk
Day 13: Rest at the base camp and prepare for climbing
Day 14: From Base Camp to Camp 1 ( 5,350m. ) about 4 – 5 hours walk
Day 15: From Camp 1 to Camp 2 ( 5,700m. ) about 5 – 6 hours walk
Day 16: From Camp 2 to Summit ( 6,186m. ) and back to Camp 1 ( 5,350m. ) about 10 – 11 hours walk
Day 17: Extra one day for Summit.
