Trip Information

Chulu East is climbed in 1955 for the first time by a German expedition through the north-east ridge.Chulu East is located to the south east of Chulu West just over the Manang valley with the spectacular views of Annapurna II, III and IV, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiri, Glacier Dome, Tilicho Peak and Mt. Manaslu.

Chulu East is higher than Chulu West, this peak can be done along with the Annapurna circuit trek passing Thorong la pass and way back from Jomsom to Pokhara by flight.

Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, arrival in Kathmandu
Day 02: For preparation and sightseeing inside the Kathmandu valley
Day 03: Drive to Beshisahar (7,60m / 5 hrs) and Trek to Khundi (790m / 3 hrs)
Day 04: Trek to Bhaunadanda (1,310m / 4 hrs)
Day 05: Trek to Tal (1,700m / 6 hrs)
Day 06: Trek to Bagarchap (2,160m / 6 hrs)
Day 07: Trek to Chame (2,670m / 7 hrs)
Day 08: Trek to Pisang (3,300m / 6 hrs)
Day 09: Trek to Yak-Kharka (4,210 / 6 hrs)
Day 10: Continue to Chulu-East Base Camp (5140m / 5 hrs).
Day 11: Acclimatization at Base Camp
Day 12: Ascend High Camp of Chulu-East (5,600m), return back or stay there.
Day 13: Optional day (For bad weather). Attempt for the ascend or explore the surrounding.
Day 14: Prepare for summit of Chulu East (6,584m) and return back to base camp (7 hrs).
Day 15: Trek to Manang (3,540m / 5 hrs)
Day 16: Rest Day
Day 17: Trek to Letdar (4,200m / 4 hrs)
Day 18: Trek Thorung Phedi (4,450m / 6 hrs)
Day 19: Cross Thorung La (5,416m/ 6 hrs) and down to Muktinath (3,800m/ 2 hrs)
Day 20: Trek to Jomsom (2,710m / 4 hrs)
Day 21: Fly to Pokhara
Day 22: Fly to Kathmandu
Day 23: Free day in Kathmandu
Day 24: Final Departure.
