Trip Information

Manaslu is the highest peak in the Gorkha District and is located about 64 KM . 40 mils east of Annapurna .the mountain’s long ridges and valley glaciers offer feasible approaches from all directions , and culminate in a peak that towers steeply above its surrounding landscape, and is a dominant feature when viewed from afar   Expedition in Nepal is mainly organized in autumn season for 8,000m peaks therefore Manaslu expedition is also fall in autumn season.

The success rate on Manaslu expedition is comparatively higher than other 8,000m peaks therefore expedition on Manaslu is becoming more popular nowadays.

The route to Manaslu is very beautiful because of variant landscape, old monasteries, and traditional culture. The trek starts from Gorkha and trail goes along with Budi Gandaki River, the ancient route of Nepal for salt trade with Tibet.

The expedition on Manaslu is challenging because of long ridges, glaciers, crevasses and possibility of avalanches therefore prior mountaineering experience and mountaineering skills will help a lot to gain success on this mountain.

Day 02 – 03: Preparation days for official documents and expedition
Day 03: Drive to Arughat (525m)
Day 04: Trek to Soti Khola ( 710m)

Day 05: Trek to Machhakhola (900m.)

Day 06: Trek to Doban (1070m)

Day 07: Trek to Jagat (1410m)
Day 08: Trek to Deng (1920m)

Day 09: Trek to Namrung ( 2630m
Day 10: Trek to Samagaon ( 3530m)
Day 11: Rest day at Samagoan for exploration and side trip to Pung-gyen Gompa.
Day 12: Trek to Manaslu base camp (4,665m)
Day 13 – 40: Climbing period
Day 41: Trek from Base camp to Samagoan (3860m)
Day 42: Trek to Samdo ( 3860m)
Day 43: Trek to Larkya Rest House (4480m)
Day 44: Trek to Larkya la (5160m) to Bimthang (3720m)
Day 45: Trek to Tilije (2300m)
