Trip Information

Gasherbrum II is the 13th highest mountain in the world at the elevation of 8000m, which is also known as K4 and located in the Karakoram Range on the border between Pakistan and China. The mountain was first climbed on July 7, 1956, by Austrian expedition team members Fritz Moravec, Josef Larch, and Hans Willenpart.

Gasherbrum II is the easiest and safest peak to climb in the Karakoram 8,000m peaks. This peak is good for new climbing wishing to attempt 8,000m peak. The climbing route is straightforward in a superb location. This peak has high climbing success rates in recent years. Gasherbrum II is not like Cho Oyu and Sishapangma (These Tibetan mountain can be reach by Jeep in the Base Camp) but, Gasherbrum II is completely good to gain climbing experience.

Itinerary

Day 01 – 03: Fly to Islamabad, and preparation for expedition
Day 4: Fly to Skardu
Day 5: Free day at Skardu
Day 6: Drive to Askole
Day 7 – 14: Trek to Concordia and Gasherbrum Base Camp
Day 15 – 44: Climbing periods for Gasherbrum II
Day 45 – 47: Trek out to Hushe Village via the Vine Glacier and Ghondokoro La (5,585m).
Day 48: Drive to Skardu
Day 49: Fly to Islamabad
Day 50: Free day
Day 51: Final depart to home
