Trip Information

Baruntse Expedition is also popular peak among 7,000m peaks and it is situated in the Khumbu region surrounded by the world’s popular mountains, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Mt. Makalu and the beautiful mountain Amadablam.

Like other mountains Baruntse is also same in terms of climbing activities but to reach this mountain there are many high passes and the success rate on this mountain is comparatively higher than other 7,000m peaks via normal route that is from South Ridge.
The expedition route goes from Lukla and trek to Mera La and then to Baruntse Base Camp. It does not need to have extensive technical knowledge; it follows the straight forward climb on snow and ice. This expedition may require setting 2 high camps, Camp 1 in East Col at 5,700m and Camp 2 is on the South-East Ridge at the elevation of 6,400m.

Day 04: Fly to Lukla and trek to Chutanga
Day 05: Rest for acclimatization
Day 06: Trek to Thulikharka
Day 07: Trek to Mousamkharka
Day 08: Trek to Thagnak
Day 09: Rest day at Thagnak for acclimatization
Day 10: Trek to Khare
Day 11: Trek to Kongma Dingma
Day 12: Trek to Pokhari camp
Day 14: Trek to Baruntse base camp
Day 15 – 27: Climbing periods for Baruntse
Day 28: Retrace to Pokhari camp
Day 29: Back to Kongma Dingma
Day 30: Trek to Thagnak
